We absolutely love books! Our house is full of them. From tales of adventure to self-help, books on fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle (of course), classic tales of literature, humour, and science fiction. They help us to escape and unwind after a busy, stressful day. They take us on adventures to far-flung, and even imaginary lands. And they help us to learn and grow.
Because I love books so much, I knew I wanted to write them for a living. It is my life’s ambition to sit by the fireplace in years to come, look up and see all of the works that I have created sat there on the shelf. Why? Because they are my way of sharing the things I’ve learned that can help you to be fitter, healthier, happier, and more adventurous.

The Complete Guide to Weight Loss
Back in 2014, I was published for the first time. The Complete Guide to Weight Loss takes an impartial look at the science of weight loss and how it can help you with your goals.
Primarily targeted at Personal Trainers, but written so as to be useful and easy to understand for anyone, it covers weight loss topics including the science of metabolism, measuring progress, setting goals, nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, and medical intervention.
A few years back, I withdrew the rights for the publisher to continue publishing the book, as I’m planning to rewrite and redesign it in the future as part of the balance collection.
If you’re interested though, or you think it might help you now, you can still find a few new and secondhand copies going for an absolute bargain on Amazon here! Please do check out the very kind reviews left by previous readers about how it has helped them.
What next?
What else but the story of our 2020, including all the tough times we went through and our amazing cycling adventure around Britain’s National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’ll have a big focus on mental health and the power of nature to help heal.
Or, should I say, the first half of our amazing adventure! Part 2 is very much still to be completed, so watch this space.
Beyond this, I have a whole series to work on based on the balance method and principles. There’ll be one on how to form lasting habits, and others on the specific habits you need to focus on to achieve particular wellbeing goals.
Sounds a lot actually! I best stop working on the website and get back to it.
